I have been commissioned by People USA, a peer-run mental health non-profit that innovates and delivers unique crisis response and wellness services, to photograph their team's headshots, provide event photo coverage, and produce an onboarding video featuring an overview of the organization and an introduction by the president of People USA. Additionally, I was commissioned to create a 9-minute documentary that tells the story of Joe, a man who, after a troubling childhood spent in a psychiatric hospital and a lack of family support, ends up on the streets. Instead of receiving help for his substance use challenges, Joe spends nearly 40 years in jail for nonviolent crimes. The documentary highlights how People USA supports individuals like Joe with re-entry, peer respite, housing, and other transformative services.
